Five transformations are the transformations of time sequence of five seasons and the different characters of disease changes during a year. Five shu points are the five kinds of special shu points named well shu points, spring shu points, stream shu points, jing shu points, and confluence shu points, which are in the major channels of the five viscera and six bowels. Five transformations controlling five shu points indicates acupuncturing five shu points respectively according to time sequence, such as needling the well shu points in winter, needling the spring shu points in spring, or acupuncturing five shu points respectively according to different characters of disease changes, such as treating the well shu points when disease is located in the viscera, treating the spring shu points when disease changes in color. We consider that the clinic meaning of five transformations controlling five shu points is to offer the thought of dynamic regulating and treatment, and the thought of acupuncture according to time sequence of five shu points. It reveals the application methods of five shu points of child effect iin place of mother one and acupuncture beforehand of the thought of dynamic regulating and treatment in the theory of five shu points, these methods are less used by doctors afterward. Using modern researches and clinic informations to clarify the contents of acupuncture according to time sequence in the application of five shu points.
